LnS Hair Fashions is a hairdressing business situated in Cowplain Waterlooville. One of the business partners had found a "build your own website" facility on the net, there are probably thousands of these around but she was unhappy with the results and the fact that the site had not appeared on google. The business is expanding and now offers beauty services such as manicures, pedicures and waxing.
Marcus had decided to start up on his own as he was unhappy with his present employer who suppied roller security shutters so this was how South Coast Shutters started out. South Coast Shutters has gone on to supply customers such as Hampshire council and is earning a solid reputation for quality security products supplied on time and within budget. The website has a gallery section which allows visitors to view the extensive range of products that are available. The company carries out maintenance and servicing of security shutters around Hampshire, West Sussex and beyond. Also available are automatic garage doors which are electrically operated via remote control and can be fitted instead of those cumbersome manaully operated garage doors.
Production & Development Services or "PDS" as they have always been known have been around since the mid eighties. PDS started out doing sheet metal fabrication and have always invested heavily in the latest machinery including cnc punching machines. They later aquired thier own paint shop so are able to offer metal finishing services such as powder coating to thier customers. Dave Spencer had been managing the company for several years so when the original owners decided to retire to Spain it was natural for Dave to take charge and buy the company. Many of PDS's customers produce electronic products and this is something that the company has specialised in for many years. In December 2008 PDS took delivery of a brand new Laser Cutter and are now able to offer a Laser Cutting Service to thier customers.
Solent Truck Parts have been supplying spares and accessories for Heavy Goods Vehicles from premises in Fareham since the 1980's. They have had a website since 2005 but it hadn't been updated for some time and looked quite strange in the Firefox browser with some obvious design errors. Firefox is now used for around 15% of visits to UK sites so it's important that a site looks good in it. The Solent Truck Parts site had been hosted in America and when the new site went live it was simultaneously moved to a faster setup here in the UK. There were several office computers with different email accounts @solenttruckparts.co.uk so prior to the move they were setup so that email was received via both web-servers in this way when the hosting switch was made there was no disruption to the business.
